Promotion of Traditional Cameroonian Music

Are you ready for a beautiful trip in Africa???

Come quickly with me and I will make you discover what’s the Kmermusic !!!

This is not the name of a movie of course, but rather a Cameroonian site, whose main objective is the promotion of the traditional Cameroonian song.

It is therefore one of the channels through which Cameroonian artists, of the traditional musical genre, make themselves known and ensure their visibility.
Available in television, radio and the website, the artists of this category live on their talent through the mediation of this site, while promoting copyright and fighting against plagiarism.
The identification of the target is very essential here and for the case,  it is the people of third age, nostalgic and attached  for their culture ...
 The instruments are essentially traditional:
We have some musicians such as Richard BONA and Manu DIBANGO who are Cameroonian and world famous, building their inspiration of traditional source!
 DO YOU KNOW THEM???
Because right now they make one of the great musical covers with the rhythm Soul Africa using the Saxophone.

Manu Dibango is a saxophonist, vibraphonist and pianist from Cameroon. He developed his own style of music by combining jazz with traditional Cameroonian music and popular Cameroonian dance Music Makossa. He is a single singer with 3 Children: Georgia Dibango, Marva Dibango, Michel Dibango. He leave in United State of America and still enjoyed his art.

  • An interview with Manu DIBANGO, following a concert in 2018, reveals this to the Cameroonian youth:
  • Christine: Manu, a talented musician like you can he inspire the Cameroonian youth in the traditional musical promotion?
  • Manu: Traditional music is an art, and the way it is promoted determines its success. Before, there was only radio and television as a means of musical promotion and some archaic musical instruments( the balafon, the talking drum, the cora), but i manage with them.
  • Christine: Traditional musicians in Cameroon have a new hope according to your success. Another Cameroonian musicians will be able to stand out?
  • Manu: Of course, there are plenty of them today, such as Richard BONA, Charlotte DIPANDA who are young promotion and talk about them beyond their continent.
  • Christine: Manu, what’s the secret of your success?
  • Manu: I have remained faithful to the promotion of Cameroonian music, I adapted to the new forms of musical marketing, you have also to be at the right moment at a good place …
  • Christine: Good luck Manu!
